Cowboy hats, stunning lace, and a little bit of sunshiny grace!
They made their relationship official on January 8th (2019), got engaged on March 27th (2021) and married December 31st (2021) at Lilly Creek Farm!
That fantastic Friday, Rachel and Brenden stood in front of both friends and family alike and dedicated their futures together!
Opting for an evening ceremony, the reflection of the lights overhead onto the ground below lit up the stage for a show of love that their guests will never forget!
Finding comfort in one another kept them on the straight and narrow throughout the biggest day of their lives, so far! You can clearly see her melt when she smiles up at him and when he saw her in her dress for the first time, the absolute awe and wonder is enough to make anyone cry!
Whether you are enjoying the pictures after the fact or were lucky enough to be there for the day of, there is no denying the love that these two share!
Getting Ready
The special day began in the Bridal Suite with the betrothed preparing for her upcoming nuptials. Soon, surrounded by her bridesmaids, laughter and excitement filled the high-nerve span of time before those two famous words, "I do!"
The bride sat patiently as the hairstylist whipped up a beautifully elegant braid! She admired her make-up and hairstyle in the mirror while her bridesmaids got ready alongside her! Donning beautiful black dresses, the bridesmaids would pair beautifully with the bride's lovely lace dress!
The golden sunshine filtered through the window panes and joined a joyful group of women happily preparing for a major moment! One of them was getting married to the love of her life! The energy of excitement and expectation buzzed, centered around the betrothed.
After her hair was finished and her makeup was done, it was time for photos with the lovely women she chose to accompany her! Smiles were seen all around as they chatted with one another and let the photographer do his thing!
One final look over of THE dress and some help zipping up put the fun beginning of the day into a frenzy of activity!
It was almost time!
The final touch, a pair of carefully crafted cowgirl boots, brought Rachel's preparations to a standstill! Looking down at the boots she would walk into her new life with, a radiant smile lit up her face!
First Look With Father
The first one, other than the bridal party, to see the bride in her dress was one of the most important men in her life...her father!
Seeing his daughter donned in her wedding dress, the absolute joy he felt extended like rays of the sun itself!
The bride stood behind her father where he could not see her. He waited patiently and then gladly turned to see his daughter in her wedding dress when he got the cue to do so.
He stood, patiently waiting. Then, the signal!
He began to turn, a big smile already on his face!
The smile soon turned to an exclamation of awe!
Unable to believe his eyes, he opened his arms for a big hug from his baby girl.
Father and daughter embraced, the love of the day filling their hearts.
Tears of joy at seeing her father's reaction streamed down the bride's face. Her father's grin contained all the pride and love that he had built up for her over a lifetime.
This moment, a few hours before giving his daughter away, was something to cherish and to remember forever!
First Look With Groom
Next, it was time for the man of the hour to see his bride in her wedding dress! Brenden Boggus had gotten ready separate from his bride that morning and now stood, donned in his tuxedo and black cowboy hat, waiting for his bride with his back turned so that he could not see her approach.
The young man could hardly contain himself, staring off into the distance, knowing that his wife-to-be was standing right behind him ready to become his life partner later that day!
Just like her father before, Brenden waited for the signal to turn around and take a look at his bride in her wedding attire for the first time!
He could hardly contain himself as he broke into a stride to close the distance between them.
Once the signal was given, he turned slowly.
He was so caught up in the moment, his feet almost twisted and caused him to trip!
The look that crossed his face was of pure surprise and starstruck awe.
A wave of deep emotion quickly took over him as tears sprung to his eyes.
After a shared laugh and a few moments to gain his composure, Brenden gently touched his lips to the side of Rachel's head, closing his eyes and smiling with her. The nerves from the morning quickly melting away as they now stood side by side.
Wedding Ceremony
"Do you, Brenden, take Rachel to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
"Do you, Rachel, take Brenden to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
"I do!"
"I do!"
Once the sun set, it was finally time for the magical moment!
The wedding party made their way outside into the light drizzle, the reflection of the lights in the puddles on the ground adding an extra warm ambiance to the atmosphere.
One by one, the officiant, the groom, the bridesmaids, the flower boys, and the rest of the groomsmen approached the designated area.
Giving away the bride...
Smiling while on her father's arm, Rachel approached the man she would live and build her life with!
Standing with a big smile of his own, Brenden watched as the love of his life walked arm-in-arm with his future father-in-law. As they got closer, Brenden walked across the platform to meet them.
Brenden reached out to shake her father's hand. Being given away, transferred from her father's care to her husband's, is no small thing, even in ritual ceremony.
With a final word, Rachel's arm was shifted from her father to her fiancé. They then strode, hand in hand, to stand in front of the officiant, together.
The first kiss...
Brenden and Rachel stood on a cow hide, together, hand in hand as the officiant read through the words they had chosen. They exchanged rings, recited their vows, branded the cow hide with their initials and then...the big moment!
After the kiss, they shared a loving hug wherein Brenden closed his eyes to savor the moment while Rachel couldn't help but look towards her family with elation!
Followed by their friends and family who were there to witness their official transition from bride and groom to husband and wife, they rushed off to their reception to the beginning of the rest of their lives!
